Whitening

Due to a variety of causes, teeth tend to stain and ‘yellow’ over time. We can help you whiten and brighten greying or yellowed teeth.

First, we’ll examine your mouth and then recommend the best treatment for your specific needs. The whitening procedure will either be an in-office treatment or a take-home treatment, which we monitor to make sure you obtain the best results.

Mayberry Dental is pleased to offer 2 different options for teeth whitening to suit every need and budget:

1. Customized Whitening Tray System

Along with customized bleaching trays, Mayberry Dental can create a personalized whitening program designed specifically for you. It will be designed based on how well your teeth bleach and whether or not you have any teeth sensitivity. You will be under the care and guidance of your dentist to help you achieve a brighter and whiter new smile.

2. BrightSmile (also known as Laser, Power and One Appointment Bleaching)

This is the fastest type of whitening currently available. It is done right in our office and will take one sitting. Your teeth are isolated and your gums protected while a whitening solution is applied directly to the teeth. This solution is activated with a special dental light which works to quickly and gently lift discoloration from the enamel. Included with this procedure is a set of custom bleaching trays and one touch-up kit for future use.

Regular, Customized and Power Whitening all work very well on natural teeth. However, whitening is completely ineffective on crowns, bridges and dentures. If you are considering changing your existing dental work, whitening must be done first.

If you find your teeth need a touch up in the future, you can purchase whitening solution from us to use in your custom trays. Please be aware that Zoom! Whitening -while being the fastest solution to a whiter, more beautiful smile – is also the most expensive, and also the most likely to create some sensitivity in your teeth as the process is SO powerful!
