Get to Know Dr. Vikram Chauhan

Meet our Vienna Virginia dentist Doctor Vikram Chauhan

Dr. Vikram Chauhan (or Dr. Vik as his staff and dental patients like to call him) is always excited to welcome new patients into his dental office and show them just how comfortable and effective modern-day dentistry can be. He takes the time to clearly explain things using images, so dentistry patients are always on the same page as he is and know what to expect each step of the way along their treatment plan. Before you meet Dr. Vik, you can learn a little more about his background and training below.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Vik was born and raised in Northern Virginia, so he completed his undergraduate education at VCU and earned a Master of Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University. He later received his dental degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

After dental school, he went on to further his education at Marshall University in the General Practice Residency program. During this, Dr. Vik was introduced to implant dentistry, and he hasn’t look back since. He went on to complete the Implant Pathway Continuum and the Doctores Valencia Surgery for Excellence course.

After finishing his initial education, Dr. Vik knew it was time to return home to continue his growth in the dental profession. He feels extremely blessed to have found Dr. Rodney Mayberry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology who is eager to act as a consultant to Dr. Vik for all facets of implant dentistry. Dr. Vik is currently attending AAID DC Maxicourse. MaxiCourses® are comprehensive training programs in implant dentistry. Offered throughout the United States and internationally, the course typically provides 300 or more hours of lecture, laboratory sessions, live surgical demonstrations and home/office assignments.

Dr. Vik was recently awarded Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, and he is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the American Association of Implant Dentistry.
